New Commitments

What is eating healthy? Medical doctors believe a diet low in fat and high in grains, fruit and vegetables is the key to low cholesterol and a healthy heart. But have you ever read the Cholesterol Myth?
I have one friend who only eats organic. Organic meat, organic dairy, organic everything. I have another who only eats raw. She hasn't had a bite of baked bread in five years. She is a great chef and makes some awesome raw meals. But I am not ready to go to any extremes.
I know that it is not what we put in our mouth but what we believe we are putting in our mouth that keeps us healthy. Yet when I keep putting more and more in my mouth I have to analyze it a bit more. One of the healthiest and happiest times in my life was when I was a practicing student of ACIM. Spiritual happiness took the place of self doubt. Eating a healthy diet in the right proportions was easy, because it wasn't something I gave a lot of effort to. My effort went into my spiritual happiness. My mind was more concerned with the right way of thinking. It was a discipline that gave me great comfort.
Because I know this, I commit to awareness. Mindful awareness. I am aware of what the label says. If I can't understand the ingredients, I don't want it. I'll eat organic as much as possible. I commit to love. I commit to meditation. Meditation daily.
Next up goals for a peaceful existence.

ACIM - A Course in Miracles?

If we all felt more fulfilled spiritually, there would be a lot less obesity and other health problems.

Meditation is wonderful - such a beautifully simple way to get in touch with your own Spirit which is, after all, a part of the Whole Spirit.

Oh, and regarding food, it's all a matter of balance and figuring out what works for you. Trusting your own inner guidance (rather than some 'expert') to lead you to the right food at the right time. And that guidance is only strengthened through meditation.

What is ACIM?

I'm debating the whole food thing. I feel like I've eliminated os many options that I'm no longer eating enough. Mediocre food has to be better than no food right?

Oh and my blog on your blog list isn't updating. I think you may need to redo the feed.
